Beauty and the Beasts

And we need all the help we can get.

Tattos are something when new and bright but let a bit of age get to them and dull is a good word;  all things fade with time so we are blessed .   Now if we could say that about the 'church ladies' who say one thing but mean another....two faces, wonder which ones they will show when they reach the end of the Garden Gate?

How beautiful.  I bet it smells good too.

A truism.

I think he has a thought or two there.

Amen to that.    Some day the truth will out.

Well here it is hump day and I am off for the day.   I am going on a bus trip some one hour away and I hear the ride is lovely, scenic, beautiful, so hopefully the camera will be at the ready and I'll get a good shot or two to share with you.   At the end of the drive there is a small casino so that should be a lunch stop and maybe a try at one of the machines. Who knows today may be the day the machine will spill out a ticket for a free lunch . . . I said maybe!

Yesterday I found my way to a medical group building, went inside and looked around at empty offices with lots of equipment but no people.  Walked around and thought it was strange but found an elevator which I took to the second floor and found a very posh office with three ladies waiting and ready to attend to your needs.    I asked if the doctor was taking new patients and they said yes so I got out my information and am signed up for an early October date to meet this new doctor.   When I got back to join the lunch bunch I was telling them where I signed up and one lady immediately told me how awful this doctor is; but another said he was extra good , so I guess I'll have to decide for myself when I meet him.

There is not a lot of new news coming out of Ridgemont this week.    The group of singers will be entertaining the rest of the folks while we tootle down the highways.    They missed out last month but are making it up today and have been practicing some new tunes.   I hate to miss them as they do a good job and it gives our toes a chance to tap out a tune or two.   We do hum along and that doesn't seem to bother them at all.    It is nice that some of our ladies are interested in singing and joined this group.  Music seems to bring out the best in all of us.    I hope you looked at that special video the other day;   the one with the opera singers singing to the school children.  It was wonderful , funny and well worth watching.   In case you missed out, go to . . . http://www.youtube.com/embed/JNgCM7zp30M......hope it is still available.

Have you had a Hogie lately?    We did, last night for dinner and it was so good.    I haven't had one in a very long time and every now and then it is great to remember an old favorite and resurrect it.  We used a special grain bun which was delicious and put some Italian hams, beef and mozzarella cheese, wrapped it up in foil, put it in the oven and voila...a feast.   The apple cake Christine added for our desert was very, very, good.   See, if you were close by you could be partaking in our little feasts.    Next best is to make one of your own and invite a family member or two in, along with a neighbor  and have a dinner party...why not?   It makes for a special feast with friends.

Donate to the fire funds as it is badly needed.   Washington was burning up;  now California, and Nevada had its share as well.   It is going to take a lot of money to help those who were completely burned out.   There but by the Grace of God go I. so dig a bit deeper this time and be as generous as you can be.    Winter, holidays, and homeless. . . something is very wrong about that.   So hum that little tune,  'dig, dig, dig, well all right..."   There are signs posted at the checkout stands at your grocery outlets.

Love life, give out with the sunshine smile with your eyes;    don't hold back on the hugs as they are magic touches and needed;   And don't forget to be good to YOU.   Hugs to all.
