Purple Haze

Son John goes out for a morning walk along here in the Delaware basin.    Beautiful sunrise.   the beginning of a new day and it looks like the clouds are trying to build a message... I lo...and the rest must be love you.   I'll buy that.

I remember a special man who loved to procrastinate.   A little job needed doing and of course he was going to get right to it, but, not for my timing but his and it could take six months or more even with reminders.   The cure was to grab a hammer and head for the project, that got him out of his chair in a hurry.   Well, I didn't know what a bearing wall was.

Paula was gifted special birthday flowers yesterday....Happy Birthday Paula, may you have many more special birthdays to celebrate.

No caption so I am not sure if we are looking at a lavender field or not.   someone had magic fingers when planning and an eye for beauty.

Saturday, all day, hopefully a cool fun day.    One never knows what a day will bring;.   I had an impromptu  tea party yesterday when two of the ladies came to keep me company.  It was a delight and we managed to cover all kinds of conversations from the political debate and remembrances of the good old days.    Our lovely Doris, who is going to be ninety nine this year, gets her relaxation by baking.  She has sent up cookies several times this week so I had some treats to serve.   The battle of the bulge continues with a lot of help from her.

Did you take time out to watch the Political Debate?    One way to get to know the thoughts of the runners.   Over forty thousand folks sent in questions and the incumbents  had very short minutes to come up with their point of view on how they would lead America back to greatness.    A hard and almost impossible task after the last in-group gets through with us.   We need an honest hardworking intelligent leader who says what he means and means what he says when he puts his hand on that bible the day he takes office.   It is not going to be an easy task for anyone  and it is a job that ages a person almost overnight.   The problems are many and the answers few, but if we all get behind our new leader we may find our way out of the quagmire that has been shoved on us.    I would love to have the word 'FAIR' mean something for a change.

So, off we go to celebrate a weekend.   Weekends mean many things to many people.    Some take time out to do a lot of nothing special;  others have plans and can hardly wait to get on the road.   Some will relax and others just don't know how so will 'chase their tail ' and get nowhere.    So how you choose to spend your weekend is up to you.    Just make sure you spend your seconds wisely as once gone they are gone forever.    If you have no plans, call a friend and make some.   Get up and out and about and enjoy your weekend as it goes fast and soon you will be back hard at work.    If you don't have something to keep you occupied, take a short trip to the nearest church and light a few candles for those in need.   If you have a spare hour, stop in and visit someone who is lonely and sad.   Just think what a smile from you will mean.....it is like having a million dollars in the bank....so play banker today and smile a lot.   Hugs to all.
