Friends

Angie's Queso is happy again now that his eye has healed.

Andrea and her friend Kathy went out in a Kayak and loved every minute of it.

Mike C. and his new bike.   What a day for a ride.

Friends make our world go around.    I wish I had pictures of all of you to post and brag about.   I wish you were closer so you could come have a coffee break or a tea party with me.   I wish I could have a reunion with all of you. . . my, what an event that would be.  Friends, even the word slides off of the tongue like it should.   How lucky we are to have people in our lives.   Oh, I know some are cantankerous, some have a 'bug in their ear' and some have an open mind and heart and their door is always open.    Friends can be family members or complete strangers.  It is in the finding something 'in common' that makes our world go around.  I love to look for the differences;   the personalities;   the mind sets and the openness in their search to find and be a friend.    Once upon a time someone made the remark that we were lucky, in life, if we found just one friend.   I am sure they meant a true friend, someone who would put up with our strengths and our weaknesses.    That does take a special person, but given a chance most of those we associate with, know and love, are not afraid to' be there' if we speak up , shed a tear, open our arms and look askance and they are right there.   'That's what friend are for..." la, la, la.

So, go be a friend today.    Touch base.   Stop at the bakery and find a favorite desert then take it along and find an open door and a coffee pot on....spend a little time together and make your day bright and beautiful....just like YOU.   Hugs. to all.

Friends

Along the way we gather
babies, girls and boys
even grownups
to extend our family
we call them friends
because we know
they capture our hearts each day
some call;  some come
some share a meal
others are away
but soon the mailman
brings a note, a card
a word of cheer
how blessed we are every day
when we have family and friends
to share.
