A gentle man. He did the best he could but was not strong enough, he is dying of cancer, wonder what the experts will have to say about him. Say a prayer for him and his family.
Another hump day, didn't I just say that? I think so. Mid week is always a good time as we know we are heading for a weekend and we all look forward to that, even the retired folks. there are always jobs to be done and I got to help daughter Christine with a filing job. Felt pretty good, like old times. The ladies are already meeting and coming up with ideas for the next tea which will be in December. I was invited to attend the meeting as they are looking for folks to join in the fun of making 'things' for the affair. It was interesting to see and hear the inter action between the ladies and hear the ideas. Of course that delicious pizza was a good reason to pay attention. It all sounded like fun and I am looking forward to helping where I can.
Meanwhile, here at Ridgemont , life goes on and that is a GOOD thing. Two ladies were talking in the elevator as we rode up to the dining hall and were superstitious about 'things' happening in threes. there have been two deaths recently and they are wondering if one of them is next. I got out of the elevator and told them that I would let them decide as I wouldn't fight them for first place. They had to laugh, so maybe having a weird sense of humor is good. So today, do your best to take good care of you. Start with a walk around the block, that will wake you up. If you are into more active exercises, be my guest, I'm more of the 'walking' type. Stretching is good though, the muscles appreciate any and all efforts. Balance those meals, melt off a few pounds, stretch the mind and do yourself a favor and circle those arms around someone you love today. Be good, be kind, be gentle and pucker up, someone needs a peck on the cheek today. Hugs to all. |
