Political Cartoons

Political cartoons from our friendly newspapers overseas.    This is how 'they' perceive us and they are 'on the dime', sad but true.    Usually political cartoons  can make one laugh out loud as we are very good about laughing at ourselves.   It is a different story though when others choose to show us the sad truths of what we look like to the world out there.   Once we were the leaders, respected and so many yearned for the American Dream.    We got far to complacent and allowed our politicians to take inroads into  something called 'political correctness' which turns out to be a farce, a cover-up for political shenanigans that line their pockets and have turned us into a third world country.  We are paying an awful price for ignoring what is and has been going on for many, many years.    Our inability to participate in our own lives and our own mental laziness in partaking of our right to vote is a sad truism of what is transpiring to this day.    Each and every one of us has a say, starting with local politics all the way to National politics;   how we perceive what is going on and how we acknowledge what is transpiring in our land can be changed by one vote.

Saturday is a good day for political cartoons, now we can get on with our weekend and go off and shoot a bucket of golf balls.   As you strike each one, internally give thought to what is going on, smack that ball and let those angry thoughts fly.   Take yourself to task if you have been neglecting your civic duties.   Make a pact that you will pay attention to 'politics' and get out there and vote in this coming election.  You have a whole year to think, to learn and then cast your vote.   Hopefully there will be someone worthy of our vote.   It is time the overseas newspapers publicize  America on the Rise.

We have a Saturday Tea at the Gallery today, so I am off to find something dressy to wear;  what top goes with black slacks. . . I don't think they allow sweats.  I think sweats should be the 'uniform' of our lives as they are warmth without weight and come in every color of the rainbow.    No heels, imagine the boon to feet everywhere.    Ballerina Dance comes to mind.....although fancy sneakers have become the rage.    My tie shoes keep the feet moving so no dresses for me.   I must remember to take my camera and share the event with you tomorrow.    Meanwhile, you go out and about today and find a Tea Room where you can invite a friend or a family member along and have one of those decadent cream pies.....wait, I'll go with YOU.....Hugs to all.
