looks like cotton but it is actually a rose that is grown in Europe . . . very different. sort of like a skein of yarn wound into the shape of a rose but it really is a true growing flower.
In 1922 Agatha Christine used the word adduce in one of her stories . . . adduce means to offer as example, reason, or proof in discussions or analysis. This word traces back to Latin root 'ducere' which means "to lead" 'Induce" means to persuade" . . . so, today you learned two new words...or maybe you already knew them. Aren't you glad I got a new daily word calendar for Christmas. I am!!!
Having holidays mid week messes us up; so...go...unwind and have some fun doing a lot of nothing but rest and relaxation this weekend. Catch up with yourself. But, don't forget the good deed....that is most important. Stay calm, cool and collected and take a walk around the block and meet and greet a neighbor or two. Share a hug. Hugs to all. |
