Don't we all.
A new week, Christmas week ready or not. The rains persist and the roads resist as we have one that fell through yesterday and the off road is being tested to see if trucks can use it today. It is up north of us. One of these years the folks in charge of roads will have to make up their minds that a new road is needed and necessary especially for trucks. Route 101 is ancient and take heavy duty traffic daily and has for years. They have had to deal with some huge repair problems over the years.
Erin arrived safe and sound and we are going to have a cookie bake today. I found out it pays to read the back of the package of chocolate bits which tells you how to make bars instead of, or along with, cookies. I tried it yesterday and much to my surprise the bars turned out to be delicious and so much faster than making individual cookies. A great addition to your cookie trays. I bet they taste good for breakfast; maybe I'll have a couple this morning.
I noticed not many read the Christmas short story yesterday on the blog. Sad, as you missed out on a wonderful lesson on how to share yourself and give a start to a youngster in need. The fact that you benefit more escapes many, but the truth is the more you give the more you receive and the happier you are. I know, it is a busy time of year, maybe you'll find time later and give yourself a treat in some food for thought. It is never to late for good deeds, small or large, take time to stop, look and listen and become a Santa Clause. Be of good cheer . . . that requires a smile with your eyes; don't be a Scrooge, donate to a special cause like the wounded warriors. Be generous with your hugs as some folks don't get many. Give the gift of YOU and enjoy every second of it. Hugs to all.
