Our favorite pelicans perched on their favorite spot . . . they glide and plop and are such fun to watch. |
Sea stacks make a terrific background as the sun sets on a very calm ocean. |
What an eye; the sun and the storm clouds make a fantastic picture. |
The wind picks up and the waves come in/some rollers smooth and high/but then you see the swells prevail/and the wave that breaks, a surf boarders pride.
The power of the ocean draws many oohs and aahs/ as you watch the wave build, swell. and stretch/up to the heavens/it seems the colors change from milky grays to deep dark green as the white caps begin to crest /skimming along the wave then burst like a flume spewing foamy spray/gliding more and more/making sudsy patterns until they reach the shore. JMS.
STORM CLOUDS: Have you ever seen a storm come in/above the ocean wide/the pale blue skies begin to hide/behind a long bleak cloud/turning gray and partly black/whipping up the tide.
The drenching rain begins to fall and brings a howling wind/frothy waves build up tall/stirring up the sea/ hiding floating buoys and fishing boats./beneath the swells so high, the fishermen batten down the lines they have to tie./The horizon line seems missing/as the clouds descend the sky/ leaving misty, eerie shadows/on the sea so wide. It is Friday already, time is just flying bye. I hope your weekend is a fun one, filled with marvelous things to do, family and friends to share time with and some of the Christmas chores finished. Cards should be out , the list shortened as you think of some one thing for a special person. Baking to do, trays to fill, early, teasing gifts, that do not have to wait for Christmas morning. A good deed to take care of, a stop-in visit to someone who has lost a family member or has someone on the threshold of life, or recuperating from an operation. Five minutes of your time, a smile, a hug and you will have spread a tiny beam of sunlight around. Go, be YOU and share. Hugs to all.
