Orchids For Christine

Little Alien orchids, aren't they something special.  They are singing Happy Birthday to Christine!!!

these should have been around for Halloween;   pretty ugly for orchids, but  an orchid nevertheless.  Not a dragon but a first cousin to one..

Paula's Christmas Tree.   She did a great job.   Bright, beautiful and welcoming.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU . . .  HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU . . . HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR CHRISTINE,  HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU.

a KISS JUST FOR YOU.....NOW THAT IS AN ORCHID......
CHRISTINE IS HAVING A BIRTHDAY....CHRISTINE IS HAVING A BIRTHDAY......Sure hope my daughter has a very special birthday as she is very special.    She deserves a bushel of orchids.

A storm is here and up there where  Christine is too.   Rained and made noises all night and the 'best is yet to come' so the experts tell  us.    The rivers will run high so hopefully there will not be flooding.  Winter is here and storms are a part of winter we just have to enjoy.  It gives us a chance to  hunker down and relax before we get  busy celebrating one of my favorite times of the year.

Yes, I called Christine and sang her Happy Birthday and she giggled.  That's a lot of early morning voice to contend with.    She has a business meeting this morning but then has the rest of the day to herself.   So if you have not used that little gadget yet, get busy and send her a verbal hug or two.

I had a surprise visit from my friend Sharon  Quinn , the wonderful artist who gifted me with a Christmas cartoon of a huge yellow bird with a Santa hat and a bow tie of holly saying"Will you be the Star on my Christmas tree."   Cute and clever and brings s big smile to my face.  She is into a new form of art that is done by computer.  A special computer where she can design and paint on the screen.  The outcome is spectacular, a new art form . . . progress, wow.

So today, 'hump day' . . . mid week is a bit more to my liking;   find reasons to stay in doors if  you have a huge storm brewing in your area.   We are expecting high winds and a lot more rain today.  I did make two kinds of molasses cookies  yesterday so the tin box is full.   I have a couple of more kinds to make for a Christmas tray or two but so far have not found the Santa Clause cookie recipe which was one of my favorites.  A round sugar cookie with a coconut  cover with a heavenly taste.  It is somewhere, now to go find it.

Be of Good Cheer!!!   Be thankful for all your blessings.    Be a winner and donate a little bit here and there, along with a bear hug or two and of course the beauty of your smile.    Hugs to all.
