There was a song we used to sing about the White Cliffs of Dover back in World War II days....."There will be blue birds over the white cliffs of Dover . . . . looking at this nest it was a truism. |

A small miracle. |
|
Graceful and beautiful. |
|
and life begins. |
|
Now here is a beauty. Look at those smiling eyes; how about those feathers. Love the color blue, nature tells us how to match our colors if we would only look and pay attention. |

A truism. |
Here it is Saturday morning already, ten days of our new year has gone and for many with horrific weather, it can't go away fast enough. It is good for baking, so maybe you will put a pie in the oven or bake a cake and invite family and friends over for a tea party. If you do, tell them your kitchen will smell 'pomaceous' (relating to apples; resembling a pome). Do you eat an apple a day? You should as it is very good for the digestive system. Hot apple turnovers out of the oven are very good for the disposition as they can turn a sour puss into a smiley face after just one bite.
Now I have made myself hungry so I am off to make my coffee and find something to eat. I'd like an apple turnover right out of the oven but it is much to early in the morning to bake. Peanut-butter toast would be good but I forgot to buy peanut-butter when I shopped. Well there is nothing that says I cannot make blueberry pancakes, so off I go . You could have some if you were close by; if not, get out a bowl, put in a couple of cups of flour, a good heaping spoonful of baking powder, a pinch of salt, add an egg, some oil, about a quarter cup full, then add milk slowly until you get the consistency you want and put your blueberries in a cup so you can spread them about your pancake while it is cooking. Add a bit of syrup or honey and cinnamon and enjoy. If you don't like to cook, go out and have breakfast at your favorite restaurant and order up some biscuits and gravy. I am heading for the kitchen, have a great Saturday doing what you love to do best. Don't forget to be generous with your time and your talents today. Hugs to all.
